The makeup giant Too Faced has released a brand new palette in late October that is making the makeup world squeal in all its cuteness. Keep reading to know a little bit about Too Faced’s Clover Eye Shadow Palette. (And by the way, this is not a sponsored post!)
Their brand new palette is called the Clover Eye Shadow Palette. This is an eye-catching new set of eyeshadows that was just released in a few weeks ago in October. Everybody wanted to get their hands on this cute thing so it sold out in no time.
The name of this palette is inspired by Jerrod Blandino’s own chihuahua. A cartoon version of the pup is printed on the outside and the inside of the tin compartment and he’s joined by a cute set of friends. To be honest, we really like the cute theme going on, but we’re unsure about the target market. The illustrations look like Sanrio characters (Hello Kitty and friends) so at first glace it looks like a pencil box out of a first grader’s school bag. Maybe this is just meant to be something that’s meant to stand out in a makeup collector’s drawer, we’re not sure. But we’re not totally surprised about how this palette is marketed overall though. In case you’re not familiar with Too Faced’s other palettes, this company has a thing for cute packaging and names, like their Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette and their Sweet Peach collection.
So what do you get for $49? The Clover Eyeshadow Palette has 18 shades ranging from mattes to glittered shadows and has a rectangular mirror inside. Truth be told, it’s a selection of random colors and we can’t really see a theme or color scheme that ties it all together, but maybe it’s a part of the random cuteness thing going on. And yes, this palette sells for $49, but it supports a good cause. According to Too Faced’s Instagram post. They are donating $250,000 of the palette’s sales to Best Friends Animal Society.
We’ve seen mixed reviews about the Clover Palette so it seems like a hit-or-miss, so-so product and it’s just a matter of preference and whether the formula works for your skin or not. But if you end up absolutely not liking it, at least the money has not totally gone to waste because you helped for a good cause.
Do you already own this palette? If not, will you be buying this new makeup product by Too Faced? We’d like to know in the comments!
